The Club Afrique Développement (CAD) of the Attijariwafa bank group and the Société Ivoirienne de Banque successfully concluded the 43rd multisector mission of the CAD on December 4 and 5 in Abidjan, under the theme: “Made In Côte d’Ivoire, Made For Africa”. Presided over by the Minister of State, representing the Prime Minister and Head of Government of Côte d’Ivoire, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, this major gathering brought together more than 300 business leaders and institutional representatives from 14 African countries, with the ambition of creating a framework for pragmatic and strengthened South South exchanges and cooperation.

The delegations of companies and institutional representatives came notably from the Republic of Congo, Gabon, Egypt, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Togo, and Tunisia. They were accompanied by representatives of Attijariwafa bank group subsidiaries present in each country.
Delegations were led by Mouawia Essekelli, CEO of Attijariwafa bank Egypt, Mounir Ibrahim, CEO of Attijari bank Mauritanie, Larbi Allabouch, CEO of Union Gabonaise de Banque, and Amine Kittane, CEO of Banque Internationale pour le Mali. The official opening ceremony was marked by successive speeches delivered by Mohamed El Ghazi, CEO of SIB, Mouna Kadiri, Director of the Club Afrique Développement, and Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Trade and Industry.
In his welcoming remarks, Mohamed El Ghazi recalled the strategic importance of the theme for the Ivorian economy, highlighting both the need to respond to national demand and the imperative of meeting international standards to optimize the export of Ivorian products. He also praised the Attijariwafa bank group’s commitment to strengthening inter subsidiary synergies and promoting a pan African vision that creates value.
He encouraged participants to seize the many opportunities offered by South South cooperation and to capitalize on this exchange platform to initiate solid partnerships. Taking the floor in turn, the Minister of State Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, representing the Prime Minister, insisted on the relevance of the theme for accelerating national industrialization. He reaffirmed the Government’s determination to create a more attractive environment for investment, to support the competitiveness of local companies, and to encourage the structural transformation of the Ivorian economy.
He also praised the initiative of the Attijariwafa bank group and SIB, which fully aligns with the Government’s vision of an ambitious “Made in Côte d’Ivoire” directed toward African markets.
For her part, Mouna Kadiri highlighted the fundamental mission of the Club Afrique Développement: facilitating networking, fostering the flow of economic information, and building strong bridges between the continent’s business ecosystems.
The event also featured an institutional session dedicated to presenting the new investment code, followed by a panel bringing together key figures from the African economy.
Finally, this multisector mission concluded with a particularly successful outcome, with more than 500 B2B meetings held for the benefit of participating companies. This demonstrates the growing interest in intra African business opportunities and the relevance of the cooperation model promoted by the Attijariwafa bank group and SIB.
Companies also had the opportunity to visit TRANSCAO, the largest cocoa processing industrial complex in West Africa, covering more than 21 hectares.
