HRH Prince Moulay Rachid Chairs Dinner Offered by HM the King on Official Opening of 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival

Upon their arrival, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum reviewed a section of the Auxiliary Forces that made honors, before being greeted by Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah, Minister of National Planning, Urban Development, Housing, and City Policy and President of the Municipality of Marrakech Fatima-Ezzahra El Mansouri, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy Fatim-Zahra Ammor, and Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum were also greeted by Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Governor of the Prefecture of Marrakech Khatib El Hebil, President of the Marrakech-Safi region Samir Goudar, President of the Marrakech Prefectural Council Jamila Afif, and President of the Mechouar-Kasbah Municipal Council Abderrahmane Ouafa.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum were likewise greeted by Deputy Vice President of the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation Faïçal Laraïchi, Advisor to the President of the Foundation Mélita Toscan Du Plantier, Artistic Director of the Festival Rémi Bonhomme, Financial Advisor to the President of the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation Azeddine Benmoussa, Secretary General of the Festival Fadwa Megzari, Treasurer General Saad Imani, Financial Director of the Festival Naoufal Bensouda as well as General Coordinator of the Festival Ali Hajji.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum then moved to the Hall of Honor, where Their Royal Highnesses were introduced to the jury for the 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival, the Festival’s foreign guest stars, and foreign and national partners.

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival kicked off on Friday evening at the Palais des Congrès in the Red City, in the presence of prominent figures and dignitaries from the realms of cinema, art, culture, and media, from Morocco and abroad.
