Nigeria Chooses Moroccan Companies to Build Next-Generation Stadiums

Morocco’s influence in sports infrastructure now extends beyond its borders. Following the successful organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Moroccan expertise in stadium construction is drawing growing interest across the African continent, as recently highlighted by Amaju Pinnick, former president of the Nigerian Football Federation and ex-member of FIFA’s Executive Committee.

According to Pinnick, the Moroccan companies behind the ultramodern stadiums built in Morocco have been selected in Nigeria to construct four major sports arenas that meet the same high standards of excellence. These firms, recognized for their technical mastery and ability to deliver complex projects, are currently engaged in major construction sites in Warri, Bayelsa, Lagos, and Abuja.

These facilities, designed according to the most demanding international standards, are part of Nigeria’s broader efforts to modernize its sports landscape. They follow the models that made Morocco’s stadiums during the 2025 AFCON widely praised for their quality, functionality, and modernity.

The completion of these projects within an estimated 18-month timeframe reflects the trust placed in Moroccan expertise, capable of combining speed, adherence to international standards, and high-quality finishing. It also underscores Morocco’s growing status as a continental benchmark in the design and construction of sports infrastructure.

Through these achievements, Morocco confirms its position as a preferred partner for major development projects across Africa. Its know-how, now exported, contributes to the growth of African sport and strengthens South-South cooperation, placing Moroccan expertise at the heart of the continent’s sporting ambitions.
