WeCasablanca International Challenge 2025: The Sports Village Sets the City Beating to the Rhythm of Urban Sport
Casablanca is getting ready to pulse with the energy of urban sport as the WeCasablanca International Challenge 2025 (WCIC) kicks off on Sunday, September 28.

The highlight of this year’s edition will be the “10KM International by WeCasablanca,” an IAAF-certified road race expected to bring together nearly 15,000 runners, both professionals and amateurs, according to the organizers. The race will start at the Twin Center and follow a smooth, secure route through some of the city’s most iconic avenues, including Anfa, Moulay Youssef, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, and the Corniche.
Ahead of the main event, an immersive sports village will open to the public from September 17 to 27 on Place Rachidi, right in the heart of Casablanca. Free and open to all, this space is designed as a hub for activities, awareness campaigns, and community gatherings centered on sport and well-being. Visitors will find interactive and festive programming ranging from themed workshops, games, and open-air sports demonstrations to artistic performances and activities for all ages. Dedicated spaces will also host partners, institutions, and city services, alongside workshops on health, the environment, and active citizenship.
Conceived as a unifying, competitive, and inclusive event, the WCIC reflects the shared ambition of the Casablanca Commune and Casablanca Events & Animation to establish the city as a leading hub for urban sport in Africa.
Casablanca is set for an exceptional sporting season. The experience begins on September 17 with the opening of the sports village, offering an immersive taste of the WCIC spirit, before the big race on September 28 that will once again set the city’s heartbeat to the rhythm of running.
