Air Transport: Royal Air Maroc Cancels Several Flights to Gulf Countries

Royal Air Maroc announced on Saturday the cancellation of several flights following the closure of parts of the Middle Eastern airspace, a direct consequence of the security tensions currently affecting the region.

In a notice addressed to passengers, the national airline indicated that further cancellations could occur in the coming hours in order to ensure compliance with international aviation safety and security standards.

Royal Air Maroc explained that this decision follows the rapid evolution of the situation in the Middle Eastern airspace. The company’s operational teams are continuously monitoring developments in order to adjust the flight schedule and inform travelers of any potential changes.

The airline also urged passengers to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport. It further recommended that travelers update their contact information through the “Manage my booking” service available on its website so they can receive real-time notifications and alerts regarding their trip.

This preventive measure comes amid a regional context marked by heightened military tensions, which have prompted several international airlines to revise their routes or temporarily suspend certain flights to and from the region.
