Republic of Kenya’s First Lady Hosts Dinner in Honor of HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa

Nairobi - The First Lady of the Republic of Kenya, Her Excellency Rachel Ruto, hosted, on Wednesday at the State House in Nairobi, a dinner in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Asmaa, president of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation.

The dinner was attended by the members of the delegation accompanying HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa, comprising mainly Naima Ben Yahya, minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, Abderrazzak Laassel, His Majesty the King’s ambassador to the Republic of Kenya and the Republic of South Sudan, Mohamed Methqal, ambassador, director-general of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation and Karim Essakalli, Deputy President of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation.

The dinner was also attended by Aden Duale, Kenya’s minister of Health, Anna Cheptumo, minister of Gender and Children Services, Johnson Sakaja, Governor of Nairobi City County, as well as other figures.

HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa and Rachel Ruto, President of the “Voice of Children Foundation,” had launched, earlier during the day, at the Kenyatta National Hospital, the fourth phase of the “Together, We Hear Each Other Better” program, which aims to recover hearing for Kenyan children with profound hearing loss.
