Morocco’s Lower House Speaker Holds Talks with Senegalese PM

Rabat - Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami met with Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko on Monday in Rabat, on the sidelines of his visit to the Kingdom for the 15th Morocco-Senegal High Joint Partnership Commission.

A press release from the House stated that both parties reaffirmed the depth of the special ties of historical brotherhood uniting the two friendly countries and peoples, emphasizing that Morocco and Senegal share the same values and common goals.

With regard to parliamentary matters, the press release noted that both sides welcomed the quality of cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Senegalese National Assembly, which are striving to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as the exchange of experiences, expertise, and working visits.

These talks were attended by Cheikh Niang, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs, and Senegalese Abroad; Abdourahmane Sarr, Minister of Economy, Planning, and Cooperation; Daouda Ngom, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation; Seynabou Dial, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to Morocco; Hassan Naciri, Ambassador of Morocco to Dakar; Ambassador Cheikh Mouhamadou Bamba Lo, diplomatic advisor to the Senegalese Prime Minister, as well as a number of officials and administrative executives from both countries.
