Morocco and Niger sign cooperation agreement on diplomatic training
The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Niger signed a cooperation agreement on diplomatic training on Tuesday in Rabat, between the Moroccan Institute of Training, Research and Diplomatic Studies (IMFRED) and Niger’s National Institute of Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (INEDS).
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad, Bakary Yaou Sangaré, on the sidelines of the first Conference on Victims of Terrorism in Africa, held on December 2 and 3 in Rabat.
According to Mr. Sangaré, who spoke at a press briefing, this agreement offers a framework enabling Niger to benefit from Morocco’s experience in diplomatic training and aims to support the INEDS institute in Niger, which will soon open its doors.
Speaking on bilateral relations, the minister expressed his satisfaction with a very fruitful cooperation based on fair partnership and mutual respect.
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, with the support of the UNOCT, the first Conference on African Victims of Terrorism represents an unprecedented initiative that places African victims at the center of strategic discussions on preventing and combating violent extremism.
