The next Extraordinary Congress of the RNI will be held on February 7 in El Jadida

Following a meeting chaired by Mr Aziz Akhannouch, President of the party, the RNI approved the list of members of the Preparatory Commission for the Congress, the party’s Political Bureau said in a statement.

The same source added that the submission of candidacies for the presidency of the party will be open from January 12 to 21 at the RNI’s central headquarters in Rabat.

The Political Bureau also welcomed the various government measures aimed at implementing the official status of the Amazigh language and strengthening its presence in the different spheres of public life, particularly education, administration, the media and culture, in order to contribute to preserving this authentic component of national identity and to consolidating the values of pluralism and cultural diversity that characterize Moroccan society.

It also expressed satisfaction with the government’s “exceptional” achievements, particularly on the economic and social fronts, as reflected in several figures and indicators issued by national and international governance institutions.

For the Political Bureau, these gains are the direct result of the “major reform choices” undertaken by the Executive and the “progressive and responsible” implementation of the various structuring projects, including the generalization of social protection, support for investment and the strengthening of social cohesion.

It also noted that the continuation of this reform process depends on intensifying efforts, improving the effectiveness of public policies and enshrining good governance, in order to ensure the sustainability of these gains and to achieve greater social justice and development for the benefit of all citizens.

The Political Bureau also welcomed the success of the ordinary session of the party’s National Council, which it said “reflects the positive momentum” within the RNI and enshrines internal democratic practice and the strengthening of institutional work, with a view to ensuring the effectiveness of party action and the cohesion of its structures at national and regional levels.

This meeting was marked by a presentation by Mustapha Baitas on the main lines of the party’s new publication entitled “The Path of Achievements,” whose content draws on the conclusions of the twelve communication tours, which brought together more than 38,000 participants including elected officials, activists and citizens, as well as those of the “Independents’ discussions,” organized in 77 municipalities across the Kingdom.
