Addis Ababa: Aziz Akhannouch Takes Part in the 2nd Africa–Italy Summit

Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch took part, on Friday evening in Addis Ababa, in the second edition of the Africa–Italy Summit.

Initiated by Italy, the meeting, which brought together the 54 African countries, aims to assess the progress achieved since the first edition of the Summit held in 2024 in Rome, which was marked by the launch of the Mattei Plan providing for the implementation of several infrastructure projects across Africa.

Mr. Akhannouch arrived earlier on Friday afternoon in Addis Ababa to represent His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the 39th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

The 39th AU Summit of Heads of State and Government is being held on 14 and 15 February under the theme: “Ensuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063.”
