Public-Private Partnership: The Moroccan Model Showcased in New York at the “P3 Summit for Change”

The Moroccan model of Public-Private Partnership was highlighted during the “P3 Summit for Change,” held Sunday in New York, which brought together leaders of major American and global companies for a strategic exchange with senior government officials.

Organized on the eve of the high-level week of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, the meeting explored the best ways to strengthen and catalyze public-private partnerships, considered as key drivers of growth and innovation.

This high-level summit was notably attended by the Heads of State of Togo and Sierra Leone, alongside global figures such as Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football and pan-African businessman, and Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber.

Speaking on this occasion, Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani, highlighted the specificities of the Moroccan model, “built on credibility, resolute action, and a strong will to promote inclusive growth,” stressing that the private sector, far from being limited to a partner role, constitutes a true engine of the national development strategy.

Recalling that public-private partnership is a two-way dynamic, the Moroccan diplomat emphasized the structural reforms undertaken by the Kingdom under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, which have created a favorable environment for synergy between businesses and the investment climate.

“Through carefully designed instruments, ranging from attractive tax incentives to integration into competitive clusters, as well as solid guarantees for investment protection, Morocco today stands out as a natural hub for international companies,” he said.

“The Kingdom thus positions itself as an ideal platform to develop an African foothold, leverage European proximity, and open widely onto the Atlantic space,” Amrani further noted.

He added that the Moroccan model perfectly illustrates a country’s ability to combine political vision, institutional commitment, and entrepreneurial dynamism.

In a world searching for visibility and confidence, Morocco presents itself not only as an actor of stability but also as a land of opportunities, open to those who aspire to build shared prosperity together, the ambassador concluded.
