Moroccan Sahara: Nasser Bourita Holds Talks in Laâyoune with His Bahraini Counterpart to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, welcomed on Monday in Laayoune his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the wilaya of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region, on the sidelines of the sixth session of the Moroccan-Bahraini Joint High Commission.

This meeting forms part of the work of this bilateral body, aimed at strengthening cooperation between Morocco and Bahrain and expanding the horizons of their strategic partnership, in the mutual interest of both nations and reflecting the strong fraternal ties linking Rabat and Manama.

The talks also provided an opportunity to review the current state of Moroccan-Bahraini relations and explore ways to further enhance them across political, economic, and cultural fields, while coordinating positions on several regional and international issues of common interest.
