Moroccan Football Clubs: A Consistent Presence in the Advanced Stages of African Competitions
Moroccan clubs continue to stand out in the advanced stages of African interclub competitions, with three representatives qualified for the semi-finals this season, confirming a now regular presence at this level.

In the CAF Champions League, AS FAR and RS Berkane secured their place in the final four after solid and controlled campaigns, setting up a semi-final clash that guarantees a Moroccan presence in the final. In the CAF Confederation Cup, Olympique de Safi also made its mark by earning qualification.
Safi’s run is one of the standout stories of this edition. In their first participation in an African competition, they managed to reach the semi-finals after delivering strong performances in the group stage and pulling off surprises in the knockout rounds.
The quarter-finals of the Confederation Cup also featured an all-Moroccan clash between Wydad Athletic Club and Olympique de Safi, illustrating the sustained presence of national clubs at this stage of the competition.
This momentum is part of a broader continuity. Since 2019, and even before, Moroccan clubs have regularly reached the advanced rounds of African competitions, with repeated appearances in the knockout stages.
Since then, RS Berkane, Wydad Casablanca, and Raja Casablanca have won the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup on multiple occasions.
These results reflect the consistency of Moroccan clubs on the continental stage, now accustomed to progressing beyond the early rounds and establishing themselves among the final contenders.
