Morocco’s Upper House Speaker Meets Chadian National Assembly Speaker
Rabat - Mohamed Ould Errachid, Speaker of Morocco’s House of Councilors, held talks on Wednesday in Rabat with Ali Kolotou Tchaïmi, Speaker of Chad’s National Assembly and head of the African Parliamentary Union.
During the meeting, Tchaïmi praised the success of the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum hosted by the House of Councilors on April 28–29, commending its organization and the quality of discussions, according to a press release from the Upper House.
The two officials discussed bilateral parliamentary relations and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation through concrete initiatives in areas of shared interest, the statement added.
They also reviewed preparations for Morocco’s hosting of the 83rd session of the Executive Committee of the African Parliamentary Union, scheduled for May 21–22.
