Lower House Speaker Represents HM the King at Newly Elected Gabonese President’s Investiture Ceremony
Libreville - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on Saturday in Libreville, at the investiture ceremony of the President-elect of the Republic of Gabon, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.

During this ceremony, held at the Stade de l’Amitié in the presence of several heads of state and government, speakers of parliaments, representatives of international organizations and foreign delegations, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema was sworn in as President of Gabon for a seven-year term.
The Lower House Speaker was accompanied at the investiture ceremony by HM the King’s ambassador to Gabon, Abdellah Sbihi.
HM King Mohammed VI had sent a message of congratulations to the President of the Gabonese Republic on his election to his country’s supreme office.
In this message, the Sovereign stressed that the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Gabon offer “a model of fruitful, lasting and solidarity-based South-South and inter-African cooperation,” adding that “our two peoples are united by a rich and deep friendship.”
HM the King had assured the Gabonese President of “the Kingdom’s readiness to continue its determined work with your sister country to strengthen these special ties and expand the scope of bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest.”
