Essential Reserves Platforms Form Part of Royal Vision to Ensure Rapid Response to Crises – Official
Ameur Commune (Salé Prefecture) - The establishment, by Order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, of essential reserves platform in each region of the Kingdom is part of a foresighted and proactive Royal vision aimed at ensuring a swift response to any emergency situation, stated Mohammed Dardouri, Wali and National Coordinator of the National Human Development Initiative (INDH).

In a statement to the press on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s launch, on Wednesday in the Ameur Commune (Salé Prefecture), of the construction works for the essential reserves platform in the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, Dardouri noted that this initiative comes in light of lessons learned from disasters that have affected Morocco, especially the Al Haouz earthquake, highlighting the importance of rigorous management and rapid responsiveness in such situations, as well as the necessity for Morocco to possess such infrastructure in case of emergencies.
These platforms will be equipped with essential gear enabling rapid intervention to save lives and protect property, he affirmed.
The comprehensive program for establishing regional essential reserves platforms will also allow for strategic reserves capable of meeting needs equivalent to three times those addressed following the Al Haouz earthquake, in addition to developing a national ecosystem for producing equipment and materials necessary for the immediate deployment of rescue operations in case of disasters.
These regional platforms, whose locations have been selected based on safety criteria, have been designed following an in-depth analysis of each region’s needs in light of the risks faced, supported by a study of best practices and international standards.
