Morocco Participates in 2nd Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue
Rome - The second parliamentary conference on interfaith dialogue opened in Rome on Thursday under the theme "Strengthening trust and embracing hope for our common future," with the participation of Morocco.

The Moroccan delegation comprises members from the House of Representatives within the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and involves various political parties.
This conference, coinciding with the Jubilee Year, is bringing together speakers and members of parliament with representatives of religions, beliefs, governments, relevant UN bodies, international organizations, faith-based and civil society organizations, and academia.
This international gathering follows on from the first Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue, held in June 2023 in Marrakesh. The conference concluded with the Marrakesh Declaration, in which parliamentarians acknowledged that interfaith dialogue is an essential tool for promoting inclusivity and peaceful coexistence while upholding the rule of law.
The participation of the Moroccan parliamentary delegation in this second Conference reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, to uphold and promote the values of dialogue among cultures and religions, spread tolerance and coexistence, while advancing joint solutions for a lasting peace, human rights, democracy, and good governance.
The Rome Conference, organized by the IPU and the Italian Parliament in cooperation with the organization “Religions for Peace,” includes several thematic sessions during which participants will discuss the main recommendations of the Marrakesh Declaration and define the main frameworks for joint action.
