Morocco’s OMPIC, Emirati Counterpart Sign MoU to Bolster Bilateral Cooperation
Geneva - The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Intellectual Property Sector of the United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of the 66th General Assemblies of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), being held in Geneva through July 17.

The agreement was signed by Abdelaziz Babqiqi, Director General of OMPIC, and Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Rights Sector at the UAE Ministry of Economy. It aims to foster and enhance cooperation between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates in the field of industrial property.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Omar Zniber, Morocco’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the United Arab Emirates’s Minister of Economy.
On this occasion, both parties reviewed the progress achieved in industrial property in their respective countries and explored opportunities for future collaboration.
