Emmanuel Macron Hosts Rachid Talbi Alami and Parliamentary Presidents at the Élysée for the 50th Session of the APF

French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Rachid Talbi Alami, President of Morocco’s House of Representatives, along with other Presidents of Parliament attending the 50th Session of the Assemblée Parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF), on Friday evening at the Élysée Palace. The session is taking place from July 9 to 13.

Mr. Talbi Alami is leading the Moroccan parliamentary delegation attending the gathering. The delegation includes Members of Parliament Hassan Benomar, Lhoussaine Ouallal, and Latifa Lablih, as well as members of the House of Councillors Reda Lahmini, Youssef Alaoui, Mohamed Zidouh, and Mina Hamdani.

Founded in 1967, the Assemblée Parlementaire de la Francophonie is an international organization made up of 95 parliamentary members and organizations from across five continents.

Its mission is to promote democracy, human rights, and the rule of law among its members, while also encouraging interparliamentary dialogue and exchange of experience. The APF supports linguistic and cultural diversity and contributes to sustainable development, economic cooperation, and solidarity across the Francophone world through joint parliamentary initiatives and recommendations addressed to governments and international organizations.
