Exclusive Le7tv… Mohamed Mezouari “Hamicha” : The Moroccan Kickboxing Prodigy Who Conquers the World and Inspires a Generation

He embodies passion, discipline, and national pride. Moroccan kickboxing champion Mohamed Mezouari, better known as “Hamicha,” granted an exclusive interview to Le7tv during his much-noticed visit this past weekend to Tetouan. A meeting marked by the humility of a great fighter—adored for his talent and respected for his dedication.

Born in 1996 in Amsterdam to Moroccan parents from Aïn Sfa, a modest neighborhood on the outskirts of Oujda, Hamicha represents a generation of athletes from the Moroccan diaspora who remain deeply attached to their roots. At the age of six, he first stepped into a kickboxing gym, mesmerized by legendary figures like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Bruce Lee, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Moroccan icon Badr Hari.

A meteoric rise and an exemplary career
Now 29 years old, Hamicha is considered one of the top welterweight kickboxers in the world. With an impressive record of 42 wins, including 31 by knockout, and only 3 losses, he has shined in the most prestigious international arenas, notably within the Glory and Kunlun Fight circuits, where he clinched multiple championship belts.

His fighting style mirrors his personality: explosive, precise, and fiercely determined. Yet behind the powerful punches and spectacular victories lies a relentless worker, constantly supported by his coach and friend, Said Badraoui, who has mentored, motivated, and shaped him over the years.

A return to his roots and a message of hope
Now based in Morocco for the past five years, Hamicha has returned to his beloved homeland, determined to build his future here and inspire the youth. In Tetouan, his smile and kindness lit up the faces of young athletes who came to meet him. “I want to show the youth that with discipline and dreams, anything is possible,” he told Le7tv.

His journey stands as a shining example for many young Moroccans, both at home and abroad, who aspire to make their mark in the world of sports. He proves that one can rise from humble beginnings and reach the global elite, all while proudly carrying the Moroccan flag.

The support of Moroccan fans: his greatest strength
Grateful for his supporters, Hamicha says he draws energy from the love and encouragement of the Moroccan public. “Every word of support, every flag raised in the stands gives me the strength to keep going. I fight for them, for my country,” he says with emotion.

Today, Mohamed Mezouari is not just a champion—he is a national symbol, an inspiration, and a source of pride for the entire Kingdom. His goal remains clear: to keep making history in global kickboxing while staying true to his Moroccan roots.
