Humanitarian Aid to Gaza Reflects HM the King’s ‘High Sense of Solidarity’ with Palestinians – Former Peruvian FM

Lima - The additional humanitarian aid ordered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the people of Gaza once again demonstrates the Sovereign's “high sense of solidarity” with the Palestinian people in general and the vulnerable populations of the Gaza Strip in particular, former Peruvian Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Rodríguez Mackay said.

“It is necessary to highlight the great symbolic significance of His Majesty the King’s initiative, as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to dispatch additional humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza,” Mackay told MAP, adding that this noble Royal gesture reflects the “great human dimension” of the Sovereign’s reign, transcending geographical distance to portray emotional closeness to the populations affected by this conflict.

The former Peruvian FM also noted that this Royal gesture is one among several actions priorly taken by His Majesty the King, demonstrating once again that “solidarity is the opposite of indifference.”

In display of the constant support and tangible solidarity of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, towards the brotherly Palestinian people, the Sovereign issued His Very High Instructions to dispatch additional humanitarian aid in favor of the inhabitants of Gaza.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates said in a statement that this aid consists of approximately 100 tons of foodstuffs and medicine, specifically intended for vulnerable groups, particularly children and infants.

The Sovereign insisted that this humanitarian aid, like previous ones, be transported by air and delivered urgently and directly to beneficiaries among the Palestinian brothers.
