Royal Pardon for 681 People on Occasion of Aid Al Mawlid Annabawi
Rabat - On the occasion of Aid Al Mawlid Annabawi, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, has granted His pardon to 681 people, some of whom are in detention and others at liberty, sentenced by various Moroccan courts, said a statement by the ministry of Justice.

The detained beneficiaries of the pardon are 488 and are divided into:
– 12 inmates who benefited from pardon over their remaining prison terms.
– 476 prisoners who had their prison or confinement terms reduced.
The beneficiaries at liberty of the pardon are 193 and are divided into:
– 65 people who benefited from pardon over their prison sentences or remaining prison terms.
– 9 people who benefited from pardon over their prison terms while their fines were maintained.
– 103 people who had their fines annulled.
– 16 people who had both their imprisonment terms and fines annulled.
Royal pardon is customary in Morocco to mark national and religious holidays.
