General of the Army Corps Mohammed Berrid received in Paris: A new step in strengthening Moroccan-French military cooperation
On the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, General of the Army Corps Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, took part on Friday, September 5, 2025, in the military farewell ceremony of General Thierry Burkhard, held in the Court of Honor of the Hôtel National des Invalides in Paris.
This solemn ceremony was presided over by Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, and attended by senior French and foreign civilian and military authorities.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, General of the Army Corps Mohammed Berrid was received at the French Armed Forces General Staff by Air Force General Fabien Mandon, the new Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces. During their meeting, the two officials discussed various areas of bilateral military cooperation and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening it.
