Casablanca to Host the 2nd International Forum-Exhibition on Mobility, Transport, and Logistics from October 16 to 18

The second edition of the International Forum-Exhibition on Mobility, Transport, and Logistics (LOGITERRE) will be held in Casablanca from October 16 to 18 under the theme “Connectivity: Toward a New Model of South-South Cooperation.”

The announcement was made on Wednesday in Casablanca during a press conference organized by the African Union of Transport and Logistics Organizations (UAOTL) and the Moroccan Association of Intercontinental Road Transport (AMTRI-MAROC).

Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the event will bring together representatives from more than 40 African countries. It aims to serve as a unique platform for dialogue and cooperation, with Morocco reaffirming its role as a bridge between continents and positioning itself as a driving force in shaping a new African map of mobility and logistics.

According to organizers, this year’s edition will particularly highlight the Royal Initiative for the development of the Atlantic façade, a strategic project granting landlocked Sahel countries direct access to the Atlantic Ocean while positioning Morocco as a key logistics hub linking Africa to the rest of the world.

Speaking to MAP on this occasion, Mustapha Chaoune, President of the UAOTL, explained that the organization’s executive bureau, composed of 38 member states, chose Morocco to host this edition given the Kingdom’s central role in modernizing the transport and logistics sector in Africa. He stressed that holding the event in Casablanca reflects Morocco’s sustained efforts to upgrade this sector across the continent.

For his part, Adil Bahi, Director of Strategy, Programs and Transport Coordination at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, said that the event seeks to foster reflection and dialogue on the challenges facing transport and logistics.

Ahmed Loukili, President of the Forum’s Scientific Committee, also told MAP that the topics to be discussed will focus on major issues in the sector, providing an opportunity to put forward innovative and practical recommendations tailored to Africa’s specific needs.

Beyond being a showcase, LOGITERRE 2025 aspires to serve as a true laboratory of ideas and solutions. Organizers note that a pan-African scientific program will bring together experts, researchers, and academics from the continent’s five sub-regions to produce concrete recommendations aimed at boosting competitiveness.

Conferences, round tables, and high-level dialogues will involve political leaders, port and airport authorities, urban planners, and economic stakeholders representing more than 22 nationalities, all working collectively to design and implement solutions adapted to African realities.

Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, LOGITERRE 2025 is supported by the Economic, Social and Cultural Council of the African Union, in partnership with the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council and the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services.

The event, which will be held at the Casablanca International Fairgrounds, seeks to consolidate Morocco’s role as a logistics center of excellence and a key player in South-South cooperation, while positioning the Kingdom at the heart of a global dynamic focused on sustainability, innovation, and connectivity.
