Nadia Fettah: Morocco, under the leadership of HM the King, is committed to South-South cooperation and co-development in Africa
Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, remains firmly committed to promoting South-South cooperation and co-development in Africa, said Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah on Sunday in Casablanca.

Speaking at the opening of the Investment Roundtable dedicated to financing the Central African Republic’s 2024–2028 National Development Plan, the minister noted that this two-day gathering illustrates “the Kingdom’s constant commitment to South-South cooperation and to supporting the development” of that country.
In a statement to the press, Ms. Fettah stressed that this event is part of HM the King’s vision to promote African solidarity, emphasizing that Morocco stands by the Central African Republic as it embarks on a promising path of development.
She further underlined that hosting this meeting in Morocco, with its expertise in developing public-private partnerships and mobilizing financing, offers an important opportunity to present to international and continental investors the prospects available in the Central African Republic.
“For the Central African Republic, this roundtable is of crucial importance, as it is the first time we are holding such an event here in Morocco, in Casablanca, a true business hub recognized internationally,” said Richard Filakota, Minister of Economy, Planning and International Cooperation of the Central African Republic.
“Our country is particularly proud to collaborate with the Kingdom of Morocco to bring investors together around our National Development Plan, which reflects the ambitions of our people for sustainable growth and progress,” he added in a similar statement.
“We aim to mobilize around 12.5 billion dollars to finance the strategic projects included in this plan. It is a decisive step to create new momentum for development,” underlined Mr. Filakota.
The opening ceremony of this event was attended by the President of the Central African Republic, H.E. Professor Faustin-Archange Touadéra, accompanied by several senior officials from his country.
Also present at the ceremony were, in addition to the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Omar Hilale, Ambassador and Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), Mohamed Methqal, Director General of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), Khalid Safir, as well as several public- and private-sector leaders.
