Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships (3000m Steeplechase): Soufiane El Bakkali Wins Silver
Tokyo - Moroccan athlete Soufiane El Bakkali, a two-time Olympic champion, won the silver medal in the 3000m steeplechase on Monday at the World Athletics Championships held in Tokyo
The two-time world champion clocked a time of 8:33.95. The world title was claimed by New Zealander Geordie Beamish with a time of 8:33.88, while the bronze went to Kenyan Edmund Serem (8:34.56).
Another Moroccan, Salaheddine Ben Yazide, finished in 5th place with a time of 8:35.16.
