FAR Inspector General Holds Talks with Chief of Staff of Niger Armed Forces

Rabat - Under the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, received on Tuesday at the FAR General Staff headquarters, Major General Moussa Salaou Barmou, Chief of Staff of the Niger Armed Forces, on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from 21 to 27 September, leading a senior military delegation.

The discussions between the Inspector General of the FAR and the Chief of Staff of the Niger Armed Forces were held in the presence of, on the Moroccan side, the Heads of the relevant departments of the FAR General Staff, and on the Nigerien side, members of the official Nigerien delegation, as well as the Defense Attaché at the Embassy of Niger in Rabat, according to a statement from the FAR General Staff.

On this occasion, the two officials praised the exceptional quality of relations between the Royal Armed Forces and the Niger Armed Forces, based on strong fraternal ties and military cooperation marked by mutual respect, the statement added.

Bilateral military cooperation between Morocco and Niger covers a range of activities, including training, operational readiness of the forces, military healthcare, and the exchange of visits and expertise, the statement concluded.
