London - Moroccan law enforcement showed "tolerance and restraint in maintaining public order" during their intervention to ban gatherings called for by unknown parties over the weekend, British MP and former Foreign Secretary Andrew Murrison said Tuesday.

“Naturally, as in other emerging countries and in Europe, the population is eager for further improvements in their standard of living,” Murrison told MAP,” noting that “this is sometimes evident on the streets”.
“In Morocco, citizens can demonstrate and law enforcement shows tolerance and restraint in maintaining public order,” he added, stressing that “the Kingdom has established itself in the region as a model of peace, security, stability and the rule of law.”
