Tebboune’s Delusions: The Last Straw for a Military Regime Running Out of Breath

As Morocco continues to strengthen its regional and international standing, Algeria sinks deeper into an outdated narrative marked by contradictions and an unhealthy obsession with the Kingdom. The latest remarks by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, blending diplomatic arrogance with political victimhood, once again expose the drift of a regime desperate for lost legitimacy and unable to meet the true aspirations of its people.

Algiers persists in a hostile rhetoric built on misinformation and historical distortion. Unable to provide its citizens with basic prosperity and stability, the Algerian state has turned the question of the Moroccan Sahara into a convenient distraction from its own shortcomings.

Today’s Algeria reflects a worn-out military power trapped in Cold War logic, obsessed with hindering Morocco’s steady rise. Far from offering a vision for the future, Tebboune’s latest speech lays bare a regime that has run out of arguments and political energy.

In contrast, Morocco’s stance remains crystal clear: the Sahara is Moroccan and will remain so. This conviction, rooted in history, is now reinforced by growing international recognition and the unprecedented development of the southern provinces. From Tangier to Lagouira, passing through Dakhla and Laayoune, Morocco embodies a nation that moves forward, invests, and shines—while its eastern neighbor multiplies shortages, restrictions, and diplomatic contradictions.

Algeria would do well to look toward the future instead of clinging to an outdated or imaginary past. For while Rabat builds, Algiers ridicules itself. As Morocco stands as an African model of balance and progress, the Algerian regime clings to barren dogmas. And history, ever unforgiving, will ultimately judge between those who build and those who destroy.
