Gov’t Head Receives Delegation of Senior Officials, Economic Operators from Chinese Province Anhui
Rabat - The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, received, on Monday in Rabat, a delegation of senior officials and economic operators from the Chinese Province of Anhui, led by the Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party for the Province of Anhui, Liang Yanshun.
“The meeting provided an opportunity to examine the means of strengthening the privileged economic partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People’s Republic of China, in line with the guidelines of the two countries’ leaders, HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and Chinese President, HE Mr. Xi Jinping,” a statement from the Head of Government’s department says.
This meeting is part of the completion of the discussions undertaken, in September 2024 in the Province of Anhui, between the Moroccan delegation led by the Head of Government and China’s most important economic operators.
It enshrines the continuous progression of Chinese investments in Morocco in different sectors, mainly the automotive industry, which bolsters the Kingdom’s status as a credible and attractive investment destination and contributes to strengthening the positive momentum in the jobs sector, which is a priority for the government.
The issue of energy transition was also discussed during this meeting, which provided an opportunity to explore the means of strengthening the bilateral partnership in the field, as part of the efforts to accelerate the development of renewable energy in the Kingdom and turn green energy into an economic lever.
