World Moroccan Trophies Foundation Holds 10th Economic Meeting in Amsterdam

The World Moroccan Trophies Foundation (FTMM) organized the tenth edition of its Economic Meeting on Friday in Amsterdam, under the theme, “How to connect Moroccans in the Netherlands to the Kingdom’s economic opportunities.”

The event brought together more than one hundred members of the Moroccan diaspora, as well as a significant delegation from Morocco, representing the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), Tamwilcom, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), and several Moroccan banking institutions.

This meeting allowed for the presentation of support and investment mechanisms intended for Moroccans of the World, while also highlighting the economic opportunities offered by the Kingdom, according to a statement from the organizers.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Netherlands, Mohamed Basri, praised the essential role of Moroccans Residing Abroad (MRE) in the country’s economic development. In his speech, he also recalled the efforts deployed by diplomatic services to guide and support community members wishing to invest in Morocco.

In his opening remarks, the President of the FTMM, Amine Saad, for his part, stressed “the importance of fully involving Moroccans of the World in the economic development dynamic that our country is experiencing.” He recalled that the diaspora constitutes a true force for investment, innovation, and influence for the Kingdom.

During this meeting, whose debates were moderated by the former Dutch Secretary of State of Moroccan origin, Nora Achehbar, several members of the Moroccan community established in the Netherlands shared their investment projects in the Kingdom with the audience, illustrating their ever growing desire to actively contribute to the country’s economic and social development.

With this tenth edition, the World Moroccan Trophies Foundation confirms its commitment to strengthening the economic, social, and cultural bridges between Morocco and its citizens abroad.
