Launch in Rabat of Kenya’s Economic Promotion Week in Morocco

Rabat - The Republic of Kenya's Economic Promotion Week in Morocco was launched on Monday in Rabat with the aim of promoting the African country's economic potential in various sectors and fostering the development of win-win business partnerships between Moroccan and Kenyan operators.

To mark this launch, a meeting was held on the same day between Ambassador, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) Mohamed Methqal and a large economic delegation from Kenya, visiting Morocco on November 10-16.

This initiative is part of the actions implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates to support the Kingdom’s economic diplomacy on a continental scale, through AMCI and its partners.

This week’s agenda includes meetings in Rabat, Casablanca, and Laayoune with public institutions and private economic operators, including the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and sectoral federations, notably the Professional Association of Moroccan Banks (GPBM), Casablanca Finance City and its business ecosystem, and the Regional Investment Center (CRI) in Laayoune.

The Kenyan economic delegation is chaired by Director of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Carole Kariuki, and National Director of the Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Onditi Kennedy, and comprises several senior officials from the public and private sectors.
