Phosphate exports up 13.8%

The Foreign Exchange Office stated that exports from the phosphate sector and its derivatives reached nearly 87.14 billion dirhams at the end of November 2025, recording an increase of 13.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In its latest report on the monthly indicators of foreign trade for the year 2025, the Foreign Exchange Office specifies that this performance is driven by the increase in sales of phosphates (+28.9%), phosphoric acid (+14.6%), and natural and chemical fertilizers (+11.7%).

As for the aeronautics sector, exports rose by 8.5%, exceeding 26.26 billion dirhams, thanks in particular to the increase in sales related to assembly (+8.8%) and electrical wiring systems (EWIS) (+8.1%).

By contrast, the Foreign Exchange Office report notes a decline in exports in several sectors, notably agriculture and agri-food (-0.2%), the automotive sector (-3.1%), textiles and leather (-4.7%), as well as electronics and electricity (-8.7%).

Overall, Moroccan exports recorded, at the end of last November, an overall increase of 1.8%, reaching 423.54 billion dirhams.
