Morocco Takes Part in 10th Consultative Meeting of Arab Mining Ministers
Riyadh - Morocco took part on Tuesday in Riyadh in the 10th Consultative Meeting of Arab Ministers responsible for Mining, held alongside the International Mining Conference taking place on January 13-15 in the Saudi capital.

The Kingdom was represented by a delegation led by the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali.
The consultative meeting, which brought together representatives from 19 Arab countries, was organized by the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining (AOIDSM) in partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
The meeting’s agenda included a review of AOIDSM’s key achievements, notably the mining reference system for Arab countries, a study on the rehabilitation of old mines and quarries for sustainable development, progress of the Arab Platform for Future Minerals (APFM), the reference roadmap for energy transition minerals in the Arab region, the Arab initiative for artificial intelligence in the mineral resources sector, the unified glossary of mining terms, and the Digital Library of Arab Mining Studies.
