Arab League: Nasser Bourita Denounces Iran’s Strategy of Destabilization Through Support for Terrorist and Separatist Armed Militias
During the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the League of Arab States, held this Sunday via videoconference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, strongly denounced Iran’s destabilization policy in Arab countries, accusing Tehran of being one of the main supporters and suppliers of armed militias and separatist groups in the Maghreb and the Middle East.

Speaking during this emergency meeting devoted to Iranian attacks against the sovereignty of several Arab states, the head of Moroccan diplomacy warned against a systematic strategy of destabilization orchestrated by the Iranian regime, based on the creation, financing, and arming of terrorist and separatist groups operating outside state structures.
According to Nasser Bourita, Tehran’s aggressive policies are not limited to direct actions, but also rely on the establishment of networks and terrorist militias that serve as instruments to expand its influence and weaken the stability of several countries in the region. These groups, he stressed, often act against the interests of the states in which they operate, fueling tensions, conflicts, and divisions.
Nasser Bourita considered that this model of interference now constitutes one of the main threats to the collective security of the Arab world, as it encourages the proliferation of armed and separatist movements that challenge the territorial integrity of states and regional stability.
In this context, Nasser Bourita called on Arab countries to adopt a common, clear, and resolute position in order to confront attempts at destabilization and counter the terrorist and separatist networks supported by Iran and its allies across the Arab world.
