DGSN and AMDIE Sign Agreement to Ensure Security and Reliability of the Investment Framework
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) have signed an agreement aimed at ensuring the security and reliability of the investment environment, with the goal of strengthening economic attractiveness.
The agreement, concluded in accordance with Dahir No. 1-09-213 governing the DGSN and the specific status of its personnel, Law No. 60-16 establishing the AMDIE, and Law No. 04-20 relating to the electronic national identity card (CNIE), is built around two main components. The first provides for the use of the national trusted third-party system developed by the DGSN. Under this framework, the AMDIE is authorized to use the technical functionalities of the CNIE through electronic processes enabling the authentication of identity cards and their holders, “in order to ensure the protection of the interests of citizens and the State and to enhance the quality of services provided.”
The second component focuses on strengthening expertise through the involvement of specialists tasked with delivering advanced training in detecting document fraud and identity theft, as well as combating economic and financial crime and money laundering.
Through this agreement, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment to fostering a business climate based on trust and rigor, “guaranteeing the Kingdom’s strategic interests and conducive to investment.”
