According to a statement from the Federation, this initiative forms part of the FRMF’s broader program to recognize the value of Morocco’s former international players and highlight their contributions to the development of national football.
The event also created an opportunity for these veterans to meet members of the current national team and technical staff, fostering an intergenerational exchange within the extended family of Moroccan football.
Among the players celebrated were Mohamed Timoumi, Abdeslam Laghrissi, Saâd Dahan, Abdelkarim Hadrioui, Abderrazak Khairi, Idriss Waddich, Hammou El Fadili, Lahcen El Weddani, Abdellah Haidamo and Mahjoub El Ghazouani. Also honored were Khalid Labied, Said Chiba, Khalifa El Abed, Noureddine El Bouhyaoui, Mohamed Boussati, Lahcen Anafalous, Mostafa Bidodane and Jamal Jebran.
The Federation underlined that this tribute continues a series of similar initiatives already organized in other cities, including Oujda and Fès.
