A mandate focused on credibility and modernization
The new executive board has placed several priorities at the core of its mission: consolidating media companies, improving journalists’ working conditions, defending freedom of expression, and reinforcing the sector’s credibility in the face of digital upheavals and the rise of illegal platforms.
Furthermore, ANME intends to intensify dialogue with public authorities and institutional partners in order to strengthen the unifying role of the national press and expand its reach internationally.
Speaking at the close of the meeting, President Idriss Chahtane underlined the collective determination:
“We are fully aware of the magnitude of the challenges ahead, but we are convinced that the unity of our profession is our greatest strength. Our mission is clear: to defend the interests of the national press, improve its environment, and prepare for the future to make it a strong, credible, and influential institution.”
With this new structure, ANME reaffirms its role as a strategic pillar of the media sector. A modern, united, and responsible press: this is the commitment of the new executive board, in the service of the public and Morocco’s image.
