During the discussions, attended by the Mauritanian Ambassador to Morocco, Ahmed Ould Bahia, both sides reaffirmed the strength of the historical and spiritual ties between the two countries and the quality of their bilateral relations, according to a statement from the House of Representatives. They also reviewed Morocco’s major projects and development initiatives for the African continent, carried out under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The statement highlighted the quality and excellence of bilateral parliamentary relations, underscored by the holding of the first session of the Morocco-Mauritania Parliamentary Economic Forum in Nouakchott. This forum is expected to serve as a key platform to encourage investment and strengthen economic integration between the two nations.
Additionally, it will act as a privileged channel for parliamentary dialogue and consultation, enhancing communication at both bilateral and multilateral levels, and serving as a cornerstone for exchanging parliamentary experience and expertise, the statement concluded.
