Morocco’s Senior Defense Official Receives Liberia’s National Defense Minister

This visit, which is part of the strengthening and diversification of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Liberia, was marked by the signing of a military Cooperation Agreement, in the presence of the Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone, the National Defense Administration said in statement.

This Agreement covers cooperation in the areas of training, exercises, technical assistance, military health, and the exchange of experience and expertise in various areas of mutual interest. It also provides for the creation of a joint military commission to determine areas of cooperation, which will meet alternately in Rabat and Monrovia.

The two officials discussed ways and means of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest and highlighted the positive and constructive role of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Liberia in maintaining stability, security, and peace in Africa, the same source added.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to underline the numerous South-South cooperation and regional integration initiatives, launched under the Leadership of His Majesty the King, may God Glorify Him, turning the Kingdom of Morocco into a dynamic actor for shared stability, security and prosperity for Africa.

Following the meeting, the two officials expressed their shared ambition and desire to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries and to consolidate these relations in the future through the implementation of the defense Cooperation Agreement signed today.
