Morocco, Niger Explore Means of Strengthening Cooperation in Social Action

The meeting involved the Moroccan Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion, and Family, Naima Ben Yahia, and the Nigerien Minister of Population, Social Action, and National Solidarity, Sidikou Ramatou Djermakoye Seyni. Discussions focused on means to consolidate cooperative relations and promote the exchange of experiences between the two countries in the targeted areas.

In a statement to the press on this occasion, Djermakoye Seyni emphasized that the meeting took place as part of a working visit to Morocco aimed at strengthening the long-standing bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite the two peoples and their countries.

She noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to thoroughly examine the different areas of cooperation between the two ministries, particularly in promoting women’s empowerment, child protection, and support for vulnerable individuals. She added that “Niger and Morocco share the same ambitions for the well-being of our populations and for the consolidation of our social actions.”

For her part, Ben Yahia underlined that the meeting reflects the strength of the friendship and cooperation ties between Morocco and Niger, noting that it allowed for a fruitful exchange on projects undertaken by the Kingdom in the social field, especially those aimed at citizens requiring specific attention and support.

The minister highlighted, in this regard, the major social initiatives launched under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which aim to strengthen family cohesion and ensure a dignified life for all citizens through integrated programs promoting social protection, women’s and children’s rights, and economic empowerment.

On this occasion, Ben Yahia added, the Nigerien delegation was briefed on the various social mechanisms and initiatives implemented by the ministry and its partner institutions, in coordination with civil society organizations.
