Organized by the Embassy of Morocco in China and the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, the two-day forum aims to promote bilateral economic relations and present investment and trade opportunities between the two sides.
The Moroccan delegation includes representatives from the Morocco-China Business Council under the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), alongside a dozen companies from various sectors such as agri-food, construction materials, textiles, logistics, and consulting services.
On the Chinese side, participating companies operate mainly in industrial equipment manufacturing, automotive, electronics, renewable energy, biotechnology, construction, and agricultural technologies.
In his address on this occasion, Morocco’s Ambassador to China, Abdelkader El Ansari, highlighted the Kingdom’s geostrategic and economic advantages as a true crossroads between three continents. He recalled that Morocco, with its extensive network of free trade agreements, has established itself as a privileged hub for access to African, European, and North American markets.
Emphasizing the country’s stability and strong economic fundamentals, the ambassador underlined the investment momentum driven by the new Investment Charter, as well as major structural projects launched in industrial, logistics, energy, and technological sectors.
Several Chinese companies already established in Morocco, particularly in construction, energy, and automotive industries, shared their successful experiences. They praised Morocco’s high-quality infrastructure, secure business environment, and ease of integration, while encouraging Hunan-based companies to explore the Moroccan market further.
On the sidelines of the forum, B2B meetings enabled direct contact between Moroccan and Chinese operators, fostering targeted exchanges and the first steps toward commercial partnerships.
The Moroccan delegation also visited several industrial zones in Hunan province to better understand the local economic dynamism and identify new areas for cooperation.
With a surface area of 210,500 km² and about 67 million inhabitants, Hunan is an economically vibrant province specializing in industrial equipment manufacturing, automotive, renewable energy, and biotechnology.
