Held under the theme “Fractures and polarization: reinventing the global equation”, this edition brought together a constellation of influential figures: heads of state, ministers, political leaders, geostrategic experts, business executives and civil society actors representing more than 100 countries. A record attendance that reflects the growing credibility and appeal of the Tangier forum.
A forum that has reached international maturity
At the end of this 17th edition, Brahim Fassi Fihri, President of the Amadeus Institute and Founder of the MEDays, delivered a strong message to the press:
« Les MEDays de Tanger sont devenus un rendez-vous incontournable de l’agenda international. Le MEDays a atteint un niveau de maturité et de positionnement unique à l’échelle mondiale. »
He expressed his deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, whose strategic vision, bold diplomacy and constant commitment to a strong and influential Morocco have enabled the forum to achieve such global recognition.
It is worth recalling that in his opening speech, Mr. Fassi Fihri had already emphasized that Morocco now asserts itself as « une puissance d’équilibre et un acteur central du Sud global », moving forward « avec confiance, souveraineté, résilience et solidarité ». He also praised Moroccan diplomacy, describing it as « ouverte, ferme et pragmatique », positioning the Kingdom at the core of global geopolitical shifts.
Tangier, a global crossroads for strategic dialogue
Edition after edition, Tangier is establishing itself not only as a platform for high-level dialogue, but also as a genuine idea laboratory for analyzing tensions, transitions and new paradigms shaping today’s world. The MEDays 2025 addressed key topics such as energy security, artificial intelligence, regional conflicts, economic transitions, climate, and global governance, discussed with clarity and ambition.
A growing influence that confirms Moroccan leadership
The success of this edition confirms that the MEDays are no longer just an African or Euro-Mediterranean forum, but a global stage where diverse voices exchange perspectives and propose new frameworks for stability and development.
With this 17th edition, Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, further strengthens its role as a regional leader, a reliable partner and a major actor in global dialogue. The MEDays 2025 may have concluded, but their impact will continue to resonate on the international stage.
