This meeting, held in the presence of the Ambassador of Morocco to Berlin, Zohour Alaoui, took place as part of the Germany stage of the economic roadshow “Morocco Now”, which aims to continue implementing the national strategy for the international promotion of Morocco’s investment and export offer.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Zidane said that his talks with Ms. Alabali-Radovan were an opportunity to present the investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom and to examine “the future prospects of a promising bilateral cooperation”.
On this occasion, particular emphasis was placed on the organization next April in Morocco of a Moroccan-German economic forum, which will bring together several political leaders and economic actors from both countries, the minister noted.
He stressed in this regard that Ms. Alabali-Radovan expressed her willingness to take part in this Forum, which will constitute an appropriate platform to further strengthen the Moroccan-German partnership and give new impetus to bilateral cooperation in several areas of activity, including the energy transition and continuous training.
The “Morocco Now” roadshow, which covers the cities of Berlin, Munich and Stuttgart, is led by Mr. Zidane, at the head of an important delegation composed of Ms. Zohour Alaoui, the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), Ali Seddiki, and the Director General of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), Khalid Safir.
The objective is to present to German institutional and economic decision-makers Morocco’s competitive advantages as well as the many investment opportunities in high-potential industrial sectors, in order to strengthen bilateral economic relations and explore new prospects for cooperation with German companies and institutions.
In this context, Mr. Zidane held meetings in Berlin with several German economic actors, including officials from the Association of Automotive Industry Manufacturers (VDA), Enertrag, a leader in renewable energies, and Schneider Electric, a global group active in energy management, automation and the digitalization of infrastructures.
The Germany stage of the “Morocco Now” roadshow follows those held in the United Arab Emirates, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium. Under the theme “Creating synergies for sustainable partnerships”, it aims to mobilize decision-makers in the automotive, electric mobility, electronics and energy sectors, which offer strong synergies between Morocco and Germany and represent significant potential for bilateral cooperation.
