Preparations for the final are taking place in an atmosphere marked by seriousness, patriotism and a strong sense of responsibility, he noted, stressing that the final will be fiercely contested against the Jordanian team, coached by Moroccan manager Jamal Sellami.
According to Sektioui, “reaching the final is an honor for all Moroccan technical staff,” adding that having two Moroccan coaches on the touchline in this final is “a source of pride, but also a heavy responsibility.”
In this regard, the national coach underlined that a final victory would crown a long journey of effort and challenges, given the injuries sustained by several key players.
For his part, Lions of the Atlas defender Marouane El Ouadni said that the players are preparing as they should for this crucial fixture, noting that the group’s objective is to win the title and bring joy to the Moroccan public. “The final will be very high-level, but the players are aware of that,” he added.
The Moroccan A’ national team, winners of the competition in 2012, secured their place in the final after defeating the United Arab Emirates (3-0), while Jordan reached the first final in its history by eliminating Saudi Arabia (1-0).
