According to a statement from Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the exchange was part of the regular consultation and coordination mechanism between Rabat and Cairo, aimed at strengthening and developing bilateral relations across various fields of cooperation.
During the call, Egypt’s top diplomat reaffirmed his country’s commitment to elevating its partnership with the Kingdom of Morocco, stressing the importance of building on the positive momentum that has recently characterized relations between the two capitals.
The two ministers also reviewed preparations for the next session of the joint coordination and follow up commission, which is expected to be held under the chairmanship of the heads of government of both countries. The meeting is set to give fresh impetus to bilateral cooperation and to reinforce the shared interests of the Moroccan and Egyptian peoples.
The talks also covered several regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly developments in the Middle East and Africa, with special focus on the Palestinian issue, as well as the situations in Sudan and Libya.
At the conclusion of their exchange, both officials underlined the importance of maintaining close coordination and ongoing consultation to support regional stability and promote joint Arab and African action.
