New US Ambassador to Morocco Sworn in by US Vice President J.D. Vance

“Ambassador Buchan is proud to be sworn in by his good friend Vice President of the United States J.D. Vance. The Ambassador looks forward to advancing our excellent 250-year relationship with Morocco,” the US Embassy in Rabat wrote in a post on social media, accompanied by a photo of Buchan taking the oath of office before J.D. Vance during a private ceremony.

Last October, the US Senate confirmed Duke Buchan’s appointment as US Ambassador to Morocco.

Buchan’s appointment was announced last March by President Donald Trump, who emphasized that the new US Ambassador to Morocco “will play a key role as we strengthen peace, freedom, and prosperity for both our countries.”
