These discussions, which took place as part of Mr. Hejira’s visit to the Republic of Panama, focused on the excellence of bilateral relations and on the importance of increasing trade exchanges, by leveraging the strategic position of both countries as gateways between Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
In the same context, the Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade also held a meeting with the President of Panama’s National Council of the Private Sector, Gabriel Montilla.
Following these meetings, it was decided to organize, next May in Morocco, a private sector forum bringing together stakeholders from both countries, with the aim of opening new prospects for economic and trade complementarity.
During this visit, Mr. Hejira was accompanied by the Ambassador of Morocco to the Republic of Panama, Bouchra Kadiri Boudchich, as well as representatives of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Moroccan Confederation of Exporters (ASMEX).
