In this message, His Majesty the King affirms having learned with great sadness of the passing of the great late artist, whose death is a heavy blow not only to his family, but also to all components of his national and Arab artistic family and to all generations, who appreciated and still appreciate his musical masterpieces, etched in the heart and memory of his admirers and lovers of authentic Moroccan music.
In this painful circumstance, the Sovereign expresses His most heartfelt condolences and His sincere compassion to all members of the deceased’s family, his loved ones, his extended artistic family and all his friends and admirers, for Morocco’s loss of one of its creative and virtuous sons and an unparalleled national artistic figure, who answered the Lord’s call, satisfied and satisfying, following a rich life of contributions, during which he enriched the Moroccan and Arab musical library for more than five decades, with pioneering and distinguished works of art.
His Majesty the King expresses, on the same occasion, His sympathy with the deceased’s family during this painful ordeal, acknowledging that divine will is unstoppable, imploring the Most High to grant them patience and comfort, and to surround the deceased with His Mercy and Forgiveness, to welcome him into His Vast Paradise and to reward him generously for the services he rendered to his art and his country, to welcome him among those whom He has blessed with His favors: the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous—and what beautiful company that is.
