In this context, the central services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates held, on Wednesday, a coordination meeting via videoconference with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid and the twelve consulates general accredited across Spanish territory.
This meeting forms part of ongoing engagement with the consular network, with the aim of ensuring close monitoring of the services provided to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad and improving their quality.
Following the meeting, several measures were decided, notably the extension of working hours and public reception until 6:00 p.m. instead of 3:00 p.m., from Monday to Friday, as well as the organization of duty services on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. These measures are intended to allow all individuals with appointments to complete their administrative procedures under optimal conditions.
It was also decided to maintain continuous mobilization of consular staff, who are called upon to remain on permanent standby in order to respond to citizens’ needs.
In this regard, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Spain and the consulates general renewed their commitment to continue their efforts to ensure the effectiveness of consular services and the protection of citizens’ rights, in full compliance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, aimed at meeting the needs of Moroccans residing abroad and defending their interests.
